Salamanca Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Monday, September 30th , 2047 Nelson Salamanca ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Kindrick Legion Field, when he collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Johnson City Cardinals dropped the game, 2-0, to the Helena Brewers. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Salamanca said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Nelson Salamanca doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. This season Salamanca has 18 home runs and a .264 batting average. |
