Pelico Belts 3 HR for Osprey
Wednesday, October 16th , 2047
Nelson Pelico of the Osprey went on a hitting spree at Suplizio Field today and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a 15-11 loss to the Grand Junction Rockies.
"I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Pelico said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too."
The Missoula third baseman did indeed have quite a game, collecting 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scoring 4 runs.
Nelson Pelico hit a two-run home run off Jerry Dunne in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Josh Blaschke in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Josh Alvarez in the 9th.
So far this season Pelico has put up a .284 batting average with 124 hits, 58 home runs and 143 RBIs.
