Davis Crushes 3 Homers Against Washington (APP) Saturday, October 19th , 2047 Some days you can't have it all, as San Diego (APP) Padres first baseman Kevin Davis discovered when he cracked three homers against the Washington (APP) Nationals today, and still lost. "I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game." The 22-year-old got his name in the league record books, but the Nationals walked away with the 8-6 triumph at San Diego Padres Complex. Davis finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 6 RBIs. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," he said in the postgame interview. Kevin Davis hit a three-run home run off Danny Clarke in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Matt Norris in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Omar Perez in the 8th. So far this year in 143 games Davis is hitting .321 with 26 home runs, 112 RBIs and 91 runs scored. |
