Towry Hits in 20 Consecutive Games

The number just keeps getting higher.
Johnson City second baseman Justin Towry has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 5 at-bats as the Johnson City took the 16-3 win over the Grand Junction Rockies at Howard Johnson Field.
"Who knows how long it will go on?" Grand Junction manager Drew Mendoza said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Justin Towry flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, struck out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Bobby Servin in the 8th.
So far in 2047 Towry is batting .318 with 25 home runs, 76 RBIs and 86 runs scored. He has 129 hits in 406 at-bats and a .451 OBP.
