Best A Reliever Named
Sunday, February 24th , 2047
At the age of 23, Germano Nunes says he still has a lot to learn about life in Winter League Baseball.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Oakland (WIN) Athletics reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2046 Division A Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Villa Rosa, Venezuela native said.
For the season, Nunes had 14 saves in 17 relief appearances, which totaled 18.2. He fanned 31 betters, while walking 3 and put up a record of 1-0 to go with his 0.48 ERA.
He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mario Amore of the Toronto (WIN) Blue Jays finished second in voting, while David James of the Cincinnati (WIN) Reds finished third.
