Jason Duda of the Cardinal was unstoppable in today's 16-7 victory over the University of Toronto Marlies at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. He battered them for 5 hits in 7 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Stanford University first baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-7 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."
Jason Duda singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off John Sceviour in the 9th and struck out in the 9th.
Looking at his stats this year, Duda has compiled a .265 batting average, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 9 runs. He has played in 25 games and scored 9 runs.
