Gone Again! 3 HR for Munoz Tuesday, October 15th , 2047 Fresno State University Bulldogs left fielder Sandy Munoz put on a dazzling display of power today at Jackie Robinson Stadium against the UCLA Bruins. In the 17-11 Bulldogs victory Munoz penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," UCLA manager Juan Smith Jr. said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 17-year-old had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 9 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Munoz said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Sandy Munoz hit a solo-shot off Honor Munoz in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Honor Munoz in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Juan Zatarain in the 4th, struck out in the 4th and flied out in the 7th. In the 2047 season Munoz is hitting .314 with 14 home runs. |
