DIV II Votes Buckeyes Abascal Top Player Monday, December 16th , 2047 17-year-old Tony Abascal sent shock waves through Evolution last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Division 2 Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Abascal made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .481 average, 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 4 home runs and 12 RBI. Where the Ohio State University Buckeyes left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Abascal certainly made his mark last week. So far this season, Abascal has recorded a .319 batting average with 120 hits, 24 home runs, 80 RBIs, 67 runs scored and a .376 OBP. |
