Hitting Streak Still Alive for Gaona Tuesday, December 17th , 2047 The hitting streak for University of California left fielder Carlos Gaona now stands at 25 games, but the Golden Bears dropped today's contest 12-5 to the University of Michigan Wolverines. Gaona went 3-for-4 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 3 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Carlos Gaona hit a two-run home run off Jose Palacio in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Gaona is hitting .354 with 28 home runs. |
