Gaona Keeps Hit Streak Alive Monday, December 23rd , 2047 Carlos Gaona collected 1 hit in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 30 games. His club, the University of California Golden Bears, beat the University of Illinois Fighting Illini 7-1. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Gaona quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Carlos Gaona struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. To date this year Gaona is batting .347 with 29 home runs. |
