Doubly so as of today, as the Tar Heels have now been officially eliminated from playoff contention. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill last appeared in the postseason in 2045. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 10 times in their 27 - year history.
