League Suspends Limeburner and Flores for Brawl Tuesday, June 4th , 2047 Yesterday at Andrew Wray Stadium Glen Limeburner and Ismael Flores got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Kelowna Heat and Portland Angels. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Limeburner will have to sit out 4 while Flores would be given a 8-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This year Limeburner is batting .154 with 8 hits and no home runs. He has scored 3 times and has batted in 1 runs. |
