Robinson Pitches Phantoms to Shutout Victory Monday, August 5th , 2047 Russ Robinson of the Niagara Falls Phantoms was masterful today, pitching a 3-hit shutout, 7-0, against the Hamilton Cardinals. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Niagara Falls manager Richard Hauser. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Robinson had 7 strikeouts and 3 walks in the outing. Up to now Robinson has recorded a record of 1-9. In 15 starts he has fanned 69 batters in 98 innings with a 4.59 ERA. |
