Wuopio Pitches 6-0 Shutout for Detroit Sunday, September 1st , 2047 Bror Wuopio kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Detroit Red Wings were all smiles after winning 6-0 against the Paris Cubs at Paris Baseball Complex today. The right-handed Wuopio gave up no runs in his start, permitted 1 hit and had 10 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Wuopio said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." Thus far this season, Wuopio has tossed 150.1 innings in 21 starts, fanned 165 batters, walked 68 and put up a 3.17 ERA with 12 wins and 6 losses. |
