Colorado Takes Round 1 Sunday, October 20th , 2047 The Colorado Avalanche bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a World Series championship. Colorado downed the Joplin Blasters 9-1 tonight at Denver Stadium, to take the Round 1 4-1. "It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Eric Delgado, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the Pioneer Baseball League." For the series, Delgado had 8 hits for .444, with a .565 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 6 runs. The Quarter-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
