Cardinals on to Quarter-Finals Thursday, October 24th , 2047 Depending on your loyalties, the Round 1 was either thrilling or heartbreaking. The series went down to its final game, with the Hamilton Cardinals and the Trois-Riveres Aigles giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Cardinals came out on top, winning 4-2 at Stoney Creek Stadium today to take the series 4-3. "We're lucky to be going into the Quarter-Finals," said Hamilton pitcher Mario Carbajal. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason." Carbajal earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .480 average, with 1 home runs, 3 RBI and 4 runs scored.
