EL Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named

Ramiro Silva was a calming influence out of the Detroit Red Wings bullpen this season.
His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 20-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Eastern League Reliever of the Year Award for 2047.
The San Juan del Río, Mexico native won the award with 23 saves in 70 relief appearances, 190 strikeouts in 106.2 innings and a record of 7-2 to go with his 1.35 ERA.
He received 16 first place votes out of a possible 30. Victor Uriegas of the Columbus Reds finished second in voting with 14 first place votes, while Travis Joyal of the Winnipeg Goldeyes finished third.
