Tigers Spill Orioles, 4-1
|
Detroit and Baltimore duked it out and the Tigers came out victorious.
Detroit Tigers starter Adrian Hamilton turned in an exceptional performance against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, resulting in a Detroit win, 4-1. Hamilton, the winner, moves to 4-2. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks.
Detroit used the clutch hitting of Victor Quinones to snag the win. The center fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Tigers ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"Adrian was throwing strikes, locating well," said Detroit manager Jeff Martin.
Baltimore, at 9-22, is off to a poor start in 2048.
