Nationals Dump Diamondbacks, 6-4
Behind the hitting of John Sanders, the Washington Nationals stopped the Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-4. Sanders went 3 for 4 with 3 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Nationals. David Sly got credit for the save for Washington. It was his 10th of the year. With the win over Arizona, the Nationals improved to 16-18.

Sanders contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Washington in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Sanders took a sinker from Nate Machado and stroked the double to left. His 6th double of the season allowed the Nationals to leap in front, 4-3.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Sanders.
