Progressive Field was the site for American League action featuring the Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins.

Minnesota right fielder Peer Derks made his presence felt in the 5-2 Twins triumph over the Cleveland Guardians. Derks was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The 'W' lifts Minnesota's record to 19-15.

In the bottom of the ninth, Christian Blue stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Guardians were trailing 5-2, but had the bases loaded. That's when Bryce Schimmoeller made a terrific pitch and Blue flied out. Gone was the dream of a Cleveland comeback.
