Vanderhyden Delivers 3-0 Win
|
In a tight affair between the Oakland Athletics and the Texas Rangers, pitcher Hunter Vanderhyden was in the zone. The Oakland right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-0. Picking up the save was Germano Nunes, his 2nd. The second-place Athletics lifted their record to 23-21.
Vanderhyden dominated for Oakland, raising his record to 2-4. Texas hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 1 hit over 8 innings while striking out 6.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Vanderhyden said after the game.
