Brewers Lose Despite Valiant Effort by Neal
|
Milwaukee third baseman Ryan Neal had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-8, to Pittsburgh at PNC Park. Neal went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The winner in relief was Josh Ambrose. He is now 4-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. The win gives Pittsburgh a season record of 32-24.
In the bottom of the sixth, Pittsburgh center fielder Micah Boshnjaku put his team on top. With two out and the bases loaded, he hit his 2nd triple of the year. Milwaukee pitcher Chitoji Takemoto served it up. Just like that, the Pirates were ahead, 10-8.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Boshnjaku told the Pittsburgh Today.
