Rockies Score Late, Topple Cubs, 1-0
|
Unkei Wakamatsu could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Chicago Cubs lost, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field. Tye Dickinson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 18 save opportunities. The Rockies saw their record improve to 29-31.
Jason Andrews, the fan favorite , had a direct impact on the outcome. Andrews contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Colorado up, 1-0.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Mergatroid Skittle.
