Dunham Strokes 6 Hits
|
It was a good day for the Muckdogs at Volcanoes Stadium as they clipped the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, 25-0. It was tremendous day for Justin Dunham, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 6-for-6.
"I don't know what to call that," the Batavia first baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well."
Justin Dunham singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off James Jenkins in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Thus far this season in 9 games Dunham is batting .290 with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has 9 hits in 31 at-bats.
