Mariners Squelch Angels Offense in Shutout Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the California Angels and Seattle Mariners get after it.
The Seattle Mariners knocked off the California Angels, 5-0, at Safeco Field. Floyd-William Goof was a big reason Seattle won. The first baseman went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Seattle bumps their record to 34-30 with the win.
Early in the game, Goof had a 2-run home run for Seattle. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Mariners on top, 2-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Goof told the Seattle Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
