Wilson Strokes 5 Hits
|
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Terrence Wilson is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes at Volcanoes Stadium today. The monster effort from the 23-year-old center fielder helped the West Virginia Black Bears take the win, 29-0.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Volcanoes manager Serafino Brito. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Terrence Wilson hit a two-run home run off James Jenkins in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
Wilson is currently batting .355 with 3 home runs and 13 RBIs.
