Brewers Get Past San Francisco for 2-1 Win
|
The Milwaukee Brewers did just enough to secure a victory over the San Francisco Giants, 2-1, at Miller Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Jeff Urry. John Owens picked up the save, his 10th. Milwaukee raised its record to 35-30 with the win.
Ryan Neal drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Milwaukee. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Caleb Mullinax. It was his 23rd walk of the season.
"Runs were at a premium," said Milwaukee manager Andy Pafko III.
