No matter what the San Francisco (APP) Giants threw at him today, Nelson Salamanca hit it. He easily handled Giants pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Cardinals to a 32-0 triumph at Howard Johnson Field.

"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Salamanca's quip, Giants skipper Patrick Scoggin said he "would take him up on that next time."
