Twins Stick White Sox with 6-5 Loss
|
The Chicago White Sox got a superb performance from catcher Leo Navarro, but the Minnesota Twins still won the game, 6-5. Navarro went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Minnesota pitcher Mike Moon got the win, upping his record to 6-3. Matt McAtee got the loss. Gerbrand van de Bilt earned the save for Minnesota, his 7th of the year.
Alex Sandoval aided the Minnesota cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 1-4.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Sandoval. "Just do my job."
The American League Central Division-leading Twins are 43-26.
