Rich Rauda put on a hitting clinic today as the Grand Junction Rockies dumped the Chicago (APP) Cubs 31-4 at Baseball City Complex.

The Grand Junction center fielder made Chicago (APP) defenders earn their pay, lashing Chicago (APP) pitching for 5 hits in 7 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Rauda said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Rich Rauda struck out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Bobby Almonte in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Almonte in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
