The home crowd had a good time watching the New York Mets and New York Yankees get after it.
New York beat New York on the strength of starter Andres Galindo's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 10-3. Galindo picked up the win for New York, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2.
Joel Vera, the New York second baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 4-3, Yankees. For the game, Vera was 2-5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Andres was throwing strikes, locating well," said New York manager Vince Deyzel.
