Padres Walk It Off for 39th Win of Season
|
The San Diego Padres gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
Hugo Bautista was instrumental in his team's 9-8 triumph over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The left fielder belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the San Diego Padres. The winner in relief was Nate Mull. He is now 2-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings.
San Diego won the game in the bottom of the 16th inning. With one out and Jon Harris on the mound for Los Angeles, center fielder Mike Holt hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Padres fans to their feet.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said Bautista.
Los Angeles has now lost 4 consecutive games.
