Brewers Hang 8-5 Loss on Dodgers
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers got a superb performance from catcher Joel Baker. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Milwaukee. The Brewers won the game, 8-5. Baker was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Dale Ahernfeld got the win, improving to 9-2. He held the Dodgers to 3 runs on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Jeff Urry earned the save, his 9th.
Milwaukee needed the clutch hitting of Akitada Nishizawa to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Brewers on top, 5-3. For the game, Nishizawa had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Nishizawa.
The loss makes Los Angeles 45-46.
