Dodgers Edge Past Angels, 8-7
|
Dodgers fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
Nick Dunn had a good game, but he could not keep the California Angels from falling, 8-7, to the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The California second baseman was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Los Angeles reliever Bo Chia was the winner. His record is now 2-4. Dave Jackson took the loss.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Los Angeles catcher Shane Marcum, facing Dave Jackson, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Dodgers the 8-7 win.
"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Los Angeles field general LAS Double Dip.
The win puts the Dodgers at 47-50, while the Angels drop to 55-41.
