Moltke Belts Bunch of Base Hits
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-7 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Axel Moltke, it came around today.

The 23-year-old second baseman scattered hits all over Baseball City Complex to pace the Miami (APP) Marlins to a 37-5 victory over the Chicago (APP) Cubs.

Chicago (APP) skipper Jose Sixtos told reporters in the press room that "Moltke deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Moltke hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Axel Moltke hit a solo-shot off Bobby Almonte in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Bobby Almonte in the 3rd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Bobby Almonte in the 9th.

Moltke is currently hitting at a .277 pace with 37 home runs and 125 RBIs.
