5 Hits for Cardinals Rouleau
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Chris Rouleau today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Howard Johnson Field and paced the Cardinals to a 31-1 win over the Chicago (APP) Cubs.

After his dynamite batting performance, the Johnson City second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Chris Rouleau doubled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Bobby Almonte in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Almonte in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and walked in the 8th.

This year Rouleau is hitting .331 with 18 home runs.
