Dodgers Top Giants, 8-4
The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants, 8-4, at AT&T Park. The win was due in part to designated hitter Juan Concepcion, who went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Los Angeles reliever Jon Schau was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Andrew Kindig. The save went to Bo Chia, number 22 for him.

Concepcion had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 2-0 fastball from Andrew Kindig, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Dodgers a 8-4 lead. It was the 18th home run of the year for Concepcion.

"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Concepcion told the Los Angeles Herald.

With the win, Los Angeles goes to 51-58, while the Giants fall to 61-49.
