Riding the 3-hit performance of the 24-year old right fielder Brad Boals, the Chicago White Sox stopped the Oakland Athletics, 10-2. The White Sox raised their record to 61-47.

The White Sox got a big hit from first baseman Dietmar Warmisch. In the bottom of the fifth, Warmisch pounded a bases-clearing triple to right-center. His 2nd triple of the season put the White Sox ahead, 6-2.
