Rockies Suffer 13-2 Drubbing
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 30-year old designated hitter Butch Kaiser, the Texas Rangers stopped the Colorado Rockies, 13-2. Texas has now won 3 straight, while the Rockies have lost 7 in a row.
Texas relied on the hitting of Marc Peckermark to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rangers on top, 13-0. For the game, Peckermark had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Texas manager Juan Smith III.
