Behind an impressive start by Jeremy Hernandez, Boston beat Toronto, 4-2. Boston is second in the American League East Division with a record of 74-49.
Jarrett Mordecai electrified the crowd in the bottom of the 11th when he took Toronto pitcher Hoof Harted deep. His 2-run home run sent the Red Sox home winners.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Mordecai.
