Blue Jays Win, 4-2, at Boston
|
The Boston Red Sox got a superb performance from designated hitter Zack Guillen. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Toronto. The Blue Jays won the game, 4-2. Guillen went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Toronto reliever Ragnar Danielsson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Momosuke Sato absorbed the loss. Zach Ault converted his 17th save in 18 tries.
Zory Larikov, the speedster , had a direct impact on the outcome. Larikov contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Toronto up, 3-0.
After the game, Toronto manager Max Meany applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
The victory gives Toronto a record of 90-33.
