Minnesota first baseman Ricardo Batista was sensational. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Cleveland beat the Twins, 6-5. Katsumi Omura, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 29th save. The Guardians now have a record of 54-72.

Danny Dunham came through for Cleveland when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a two-strike forkball to left field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Dunham told the Cleveland Bulletin. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
