Extra-Inning Win by Reds Over Nationals
|
The Cincinnati Reds downed the Washington Nationals, 8-4. The hitting star was first baseman Chris Grunwald. Grunwald was 2-7 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Reds. With the win, Cincinnati goes to 70-62, while the Nationals fall to 56-76.
Fred Slade electrified the crowd in the bottom of the 16th when he took Washington pitcher Lionardo Rabelo deep. His grand slam home run sent the Reds home winners.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Grunwald. "And not try to do too much."
