Cardinals Lose to Brewers in Walk Off
|
The Milwaukee Brewers racked up a win at Miller Park, bumping off the St. Louis Cardinals, 1-0. Victor Munoz, who started for Milwaukee, pitched effectively for his team. Milwaukee reliever Travis Southern picked up the win, upping his record to 8-11. Ray Scifo shouldered the loss. Milwaukee is 63-74 and St. Louis, with the loss, 72-65.
Ernesto Cedillos was the walk-off hero for Milwaukee. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Brewers first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Cedillos said after the game.
