Walk-Off Seals 105th Victory for Blue Jays
|
The Toronto Blue Jays wiggled past the New York Yankees, 4-3, at Rogers Centre. The win was highlighted by the performance of Toronto pitcher Javy Falcon. Tim Franco came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 5-4. With the win, Toronto upped its record to 105-49.
Toronto won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Isaias Chavez on the mound for New York, shortstop Nate Dean hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Blue Jays fans to their feet.
"I was a little disappointed," said New York manager Vince Deyzel. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
