Tsuda Collects Hit Number 2000
The day belonged to Jun Tsuda of the Cincinnati Reds as he became the latest player to reach the 2000-hit plateau. He did it in Cincinnati's 12-4 win over Chicago.

"It's a moment I'll never forget," said Tsuda after the game. "2000 hits is a lot. It puts you in a very select group. I never expected to be around long enough to reach a milestone like this."

He finished the day with 3 hits in 5 at-bats.

Tsuda has compiled a career batting average of .278 with 2000 hits, 398 homers and 1244 RBIs.
