Brewers Earn 6-5 Win Against Pirates
|
The Milwaukee Brewers got a rain-soaked win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Getting offensive support from Pat Wilson, the Milwaukee Brewers topped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-5. Wilson went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Brewers. Mike Ellinwood picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Marko Emchenko was tagged with the loss.
Milwaukee used the clutch hitting of Adrian Rudkilde to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Brewers ahead, 6-5. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Rudkilde.
Milwaukee is now 3-2.
