Royals Edge Tigers, 3-2
|
The Detroit Tigers got a superb performance from pitcher Adrian Hamilton, but the Kansas City Royals still won the game, 3-2. Hamilton threw 5.2 innings allowing 3 runs. Kansas City reliever John Hall was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Adrian Hamilton took the loss. The loss makes Detroit 3-3.
In the bottom of the sixth, Kansas City third baseman Mike Jaquez put his team on top. With one out and a runner on 2nd, he hit his 1st home run of the year. Detroit pitcher Adrian Hamilton served it up. Just like that, the Royals were ahead, 3-2.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Jaquez told the Kansas City Daily News.
