Rangers Take Down Giants, 5-4
|
The Texas Rangers did just enough to sneak past the San Francisco Giants, 5-4, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Texas pitcher Gavin Nelson, in particular, had a standout performance. Texas now has a record of 5-5.
Andy Bowman was the walk-off hero for Texas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rangers left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I was a little disappointed," said San Francisco manager Jobo Foster. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
