Arp Excels in 6-2 Toronto Win
|
The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Chicago White Sox, 6-2, at U.S. Cellular Field. Kirk Arp, in particular, was impressive. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. With the win, Toronto improves its record to 8-8.
Michael Byrd dealt the White Sox a blow in the top of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Toronto leading 4-2, Byrd, the 15th overall pick in the 2041 draft, hit a 1-1 cutter for a 2-run single.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Arp told the Toronto News.
